The carpet in the cab was filthy and beyond repair. Luckily the previous owner had left a roll of carpet in the van and so I was able to cut this to fit. I removed the seats, tore it out, and then used the old roll as a template for the new cut. The carpet on the engine/ transmission cover wasn't in nearly as bad of shape, so I plan to just shampoo it down the road.
To protect the cabling I used some extra wrap insulation under the seats and at the interface between the carpet and (future) vinyl flooring.
The side steps were previously covered by carpet, but I instead removed the old staples and screws, sanded them down, and put a few coats of black on them. Really freshened them up! ha
