#21 - Roof Insulation and Cabinet Facing

For the cupboards/ storage area, I still needed to insulate the roof and figure out a way to clean up all the gaps and various ridges to make it presentable. Since I started working on the van, no adhesive had effectively stuck to the fiberglass roof, and so I decided to try and use the spray insulation as an adhesive. I sprayed it over the back of my wrap insulation and pressed it against the roof, but because it is an expanding foam I had to not only support it (cardboard boxes) but also continually run my hands along it to compress the foam and stop it from expanding. With the exception of a few parts which bulged slightly, it turned out pretty good and has a much stronger bond to the fiberglass roof.

For the storage area above the driving compartment, I had some leftover (new) carpet which was large enough to fit the cavity. It's a simple area, but it is now 99% done which was a cool milestone to hit.
