#16 - Floor Insulation, Vinyl, and Trim

In the areas under the kitchen and cabinets I spray insulated the ribbing/ gaps and placed 3/4" insulation on top. I ran 2x2 along the base which protects the edges and provides a lip to keep things from rolling around.

I re-used the vinyl flooring from the previous owner in these areas. Cutting the vinyl to fit around all the contours of the van was a laborious process, but it turned out well. This vinyl isn't the best or prettiest (and I wouldn't use it in the main walkway), but under these storage areas the blemishes etc. will hardly be noticed and will add a protective surface to the insulation. 




For the wheel wells, I used 3/4" insulation board for the vertical sides and a 3/8" wrap insulation for the curved portion. I spray insulated the ribbing and gaps and then used foil tape along edges
